Haverhill continued knocking off challenges Saturday.

Unbeaten in dual meets, the Hillies captured their second tournament in two weeks with an impressive performance, placing first in the Capital Classic in Concord, N.H. The Hillies won with 171.5 points, just one ahead of Rhode Island power Bishop Hendricken.

Pinkerton was close behind in third with 169 points, followed by Concord (162) and Central Catholic (140.5).

The Hillies showed their depth by placing in nine weight classes and piled up points by winning their final match on six occasions. Ben Davoli (106) and heavyweight Jay Levy were both runners-up and Jake Nicolosi (138), Jake Prescott (160) and Ryan McCartney (195) all came in third. Kevin Fuller (113)  took a fourth.

"What impressed me most today was we managed to win the title without any champions," said Haverhill coach Tim Lawlor. "Great team day as we battled a lot of  bad luck but still came out on top."

Pinkerton also had a superb day led by champions Sterling McLaughlin (182) and Kyle Setzer (195), the latter of whom won 3-0 in the finals and didn't give up a point in three matches. Also, Tyler MacKiernan was runner-up at 152, losing a competitive 9-5 decision in the finals.

For Central, Mikey Glynn (126), Tyler Glynn (138) and Mando Binet (195) were all runners-up and Jimmy Glynn (106) came in third.
