With another impressive performance, St. John's Prep easily came out on top of the Division 1 North leaderboard in sectional competition at Bradford Country Club yesterday.

With its top four golfers shooting a combined 312, Central Catholic nosed out Lincoln-Sudbury by a single stroke for the runner-up spot, 11 shots behind the Eagles.

North Andover put the final touches on its MVC Division 2 championship season by downing Lowell 235-254. Will Berberich shot a 37 and MVC Division 2 MVP Alec Brown and Justin Myerson fired 38s,

Playing at No. 6 yesterday, Jack Riley turned in a superb round of golf, co-medaling with Brett Krekorian with matching 37s as Andover edged Billerica, 11-9.

Led by North Andover's Max Burt's 37 in rainy conditions,  St. John's Prep defeated Malden Catholic 243-263. The Eagles (12-3) clinched a co-championship in the Catholic Conference with BC High.

Andover's golf team got some revenge against Haverhill, winning 16 1/2-3 1/2, after losing at Haverhill last week 15-5. Brett Krekorian and Tyler Stahle led the way with par-36 rounds.

Despite a pouring rain, Pinkerton slipped past Londonderry 213-216 in a match at Passaconaway Country Club to improve to 21-5. Andrew Wentworth led the way with a 41 and Matt Barnes shot a 42. Taylor Simpson of Londonderry was medalist with a fine 39.

St. John's Prep's young golfers improved to 6-2 by beating Catholic Memorial. The two low scorers for the Prep, freshmen Steve Dilisio and James Turner, shot a 35 and 36 respectively and junior Max Burt of North Andover fired a 37.

Central Catholic's Tyler Nelson fired a 1-under 35 to lead Central Catholic past Dracut, 18-2. His Raider teammate, Ryan Mahoney, shot an even-par 36.

Windham finished off its second straight undefeated season of golf, easily beating Coe-Brown and Milford in the final match of the regular season. Connor Greenleaf (medalist with a 36) and Stephen Beck (37) led the Jaguars.

Tyler Nelson fired a 1-under par 35 and Mark Mancini and Ryan Mahoney were each at par after shooting 36 as Central Catholic topped Lowell 17-3.

Londonderry senior Taylor Simpson hit a hole in one on the third hole at Atkinson Country Club, leading the Lancers to first in a four-team meet. He finished with a 35 for the day.

In the wind and rain at Stonebridge Country Club, undefeated Windham rallied behind Adam Dolan's low round of the day, a 37, to knock off the division's only other unbeaten team, Hanover, as well as Goffstown.
