Timberlane warmed up for Wednesday's battle of unbeatens at Concord with an easy sweep of a home quad-meet. Improving junior Adam Marquis was 3-0 at 152 with two pins to highlight the day for the Owls, who are now 18-0 and have won 171 straight meets in New Hampshire. Nick Pallaria also had a big day with two pins, one coming over Bishop Guertin standout Zach Rioux.

Pinkerton certainly isn't avoiding any of the toughest teams around. The Astros went 1-3 at the Springfield Duals, losing to the No. 1 (Springfield Central) and No. 2 (Shawsheen) teams in Mass. and Vermont power Mount Anthony, the latter by only three points. LOWELL — Timberlane's wrestling team stood in third place Thursday after the first day of the George Bossi Lowell Holiday Tournament.
Surprising Springfield Central stands in first with 105 points followed by Concord (95), Timberlane (93.5) and Mount Anthony (90). Windham is in seventh and Pinkerton is eighth. The Astros, however, have the most quarterfinalists of any team with six.

Senior Riley Millette went 3-0 between 138 and 145 pounds to give him his 134th win, which set the Windham school record breaking the mark held by Mike Tanguay as the Jaguars rolled to a quad-meet sweep of Tewksbury, Beverly and Reading. Sam Verrier, who recently dropped to 106, also was 3-0 as were Payton Sills and Ben Wentworth.
