LAWRENCE — Andrew Breen drove in three runs and Liam Doherty allowed only two runners past first in a five-hit complete-game performance as Central Catholic knocked off city-rival Lawrence.

Forced to play its home game at Lawrence High because of a scheduling conflict at Merrimack College, the Raiders (4-4 overall, 4-3 conference) picked up a key Merrimack Valley Conference victory behind Doherty, who struck out only four, but three of those came on the final four batters he faced.

Breen hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth and added a two-run double during a three-run sixth.
