Ben Warren made 12 saves but No. 10 Georgetown boys soccer lost 2-1 to No. 7 Lynnfield in the first round of the Division 3 North tournament yesterday. 

Matt Bitchell scored Georgetown's lone goal and gave his team a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Georgetown qualifies for the tourney

Matt Bitchell and Ben Brock provided the goals and Ben Warren shut out Ipswich as Georgetown won 2-0 to qualify the state tournament.

Royals face must win

 

Georgetown's boys soccer team played well to tie a strong Wilmington team, 0-0, but the Royals (6-6-3) need a win or tie today against Ipswich to make the tournament. Ben Warren made seven saves at goalie and Kevin Morrissey had a superb game in the midfield.

Crazy Croteau

Josh Croteau has been on a crazy goal scoring pace as he netted his 13th goal in six games to help Pentucket (6-0) to a 5-0 win over CAL rival Georgetown. Croteau scored the first two goals of the contest after a scoreless first half. Jesse Buzzell recorded the shutout, saving five shots. Pentucket outshot Georgetown 15-3.
