Ben Warren made 12 saves but No. 10 Georgetown boys soccer lost 2-1 to No. 7 Lynnfield in the first round of the Division 3 North tournament yesterday.
Matt Bitchell scored Georgetown's lone goal and gave his team a 1-0 lead at halftime.
But Lynnfield battled back with two second-half scores.
"We kept the pace slow and focused on being defensive minded, but ultimately they were able to beat us with their quick counter attack twice in the second half," Georgetown coach Chris DiFranco said in an e-mail. "We made a strong bid to tie the game late with everyone up, but were unable to find the back of the net.
"Ben Warren made some spectacular saves for us in net," he added.
