With one out and the bases loaded, Jack Doyle missed hitting a game-winning grand slam by just a few feet, pulling the ball foul. He would go on to strike out, but a bad pickoff attempt by the catcher plated a pair of runs and tied the game, leaving Tom Palleschi as the winning run at second base.
