NORTH ANDOVER | Brooks stayed close with powerful Belmont Hill, until the game's final two minutes.
The Green and White fell 20-8 to Belmont Hill in a game that was not decided until Belmont Hill punched in a touchdown with 2:24 to play.
"We played great today," said Brooks head coach John Quirk. "They (Belmont Hill) are one of the premier programs in the league and they are use to winning. We are not. Not yet anyway."
Brooks trailed 12-0 in the fourth quarter, but cut the gap to four when sophomore Steve Domoracki went in from a yard deep.
"We had other chances," said Quirk. "We were inside their 10 twice and didn't score."
Senior back Robert Perryman led Brooks with 138 rushing yards while Jordan Johnson had 60. Quarterback Jason Buco was 8-for-12 passing for 66 yards.
Defensively, Guy Landers, Bill Walton and Domoracki had fine games.
Brooks will look for its first win on Friday, at St. George's (3:30) in Newport, Rhode Island.
