The Hamilton-Wenham boys soccer team showed host Boston International yesterday just how deep and talented their offensive arsenal is.

The Generals got goals from four different players and assists from three others as they prevailed, 4-1, in a Division 3 North quarterfinal game in Boston.

Juniors Jon Britton and Joe Savasta staked the Generals to a 2-1 lead at intermission before goals by junior center midfielder Shawn Tucker and senior captain Jesse McElvain iced it in the second half. Dan Castro, Marcus Hanna and Devon Pierro all picked up assists for the winners, who improved to 12-5-1 overall.

"We really spread it around offensively," said head coach Matt Gauron of his seventh-seeded Generals. "It was really nice to see."

Sophomore goalkeeper Jackson MacDonald played "a great game" according to Gauron, stopping seven shots for the win. Captain Pat Ford at sweeper, senior Ryan Hanna at right fullback and junior Chris Hinchey at stopper all had big games for H-W as well. The Generals advanced to tomorrow's Division 3 North semifinals, where they will face No. 6 Greater Lowell (12-4-4) at a site and time to be determined.
