Amesbury battled to the end, but could not overcome the two-goal advantage North Reading built in the second period. Where the Hornets stung the Indians was on the power play converting two goals on only four times on the man-up whereas Amesbury did not convert on any power plays.
Justin Isaac scored both the Indian goals, which were both assisted by Zach Pizzo and Matt Lambert. Coach Peter Cignetti also said Jack Basque and Matt Enaire had solid games.
Overall the Indians were doubled as far as shots, 34-17, and Matt Irwin made 31 saves.
