SALISBURY, Conn. — Phillips Academy is rolling into its showdown against fellow unbeaten Choate.
The Big Blue improved to 3-0, tripping Salisbury, 19-7.
Zach Geddes ran for a score and connected with Junior Almeida for an 85-yard TD connection. The post-grad signal-caller had 75 yards on the ground and threw for 166 yards.
The story of the game, though, was Phillips' swarming defense. Adam Cohen and Bobby O'Donnell of North Reading each had two sacks. Cohen, O'Donnell,, Andrew Antonucci and Mike McCullum of Andover had seven tackles apiece.
Choate, a three-time defending NEPSAC playoff champion, is at Phillips Saturday at 6:45 p.m. Both clubs are 3-0.
