Phillips held high-powered Choate to just a single score in the first half, but the Wild Boars scored three times in the third and pulled away for a 27-15 victory.

"It's been a while since a team has held Choate to just one score in the first half," said Big Blue coach Leon Modeste. "So we did well. I am very proud of the way our kids played today."

QB Robert Jones accounted for both Phillips touchdowns, running for a 5-yard score and throwing a 17-yard TD pass to Andover's Jack Belluche.

Sophomore linebacker Adam Cohen led the Blue Blue with 12 tackles while Andover's John Simourian had eight stops and caused a fumble that was recovered by Belluche. Scott Gladstone and Joseph Scibelli had seven tackles each.

"Choate is unbelievable," said Modeste. "They are bigger and stronger, but our guys handled themselves. We did some good things today."
