Sanborn played well enough to win its Division 2 semifinal contest against No. 1 Goffstown, but three unearned runs proved costly in a 3-2 loss at Southern New Hampshire University.
The Indians made three errors in the game and they all came with two outs and resulted in three runs.
Offensively, Sanborn (15-4) outhit Goffstown, rapping eight hits, led by Erin Thompson, who was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Erin Rasmussen was 2 for 3 and Maggie Rasmussen was 1 for 3 with an RBI.
"The girls are disappointed, but they played hard and had a great season," said Sanborn coach Dan Carbone.
