Shannon Snively was a force on defense as Sanborn girls soccer blitzed Hillsboro-Deering, 3-0, in Class M opening-round action. Abby Smith scored twice and Angela Zukas also scored. 

Jed Magnusson's 42-yard, frustration-fueled rocket in the first half lifted Sanborn to a 1-1 deadlock but Prospect Mountain rebounded for a pair of second-half goals and a 3-1 victory to end the regular season. Tristan Cooper had several huge breakaway stops, one resulting in a bloody nose, as part of his seven-save effort for the Indians (4-11-1).

KINGSTON — Lebanon used a dominant ground game, and four Chris Barker touchdowns, to defeat Sanborn, 27-0.

Barker ran for 133 yards on 19 carries for Lebanon and paced the Raiders (3-4) to a 19-0 halftime lead.

HOLLIS — Sanborn was able to stay within one score of Hollis-Brookline through three quarters, but poor field position eventually doomed the Indians in a 27-0 setback.

"We were stuck inside our 10-yard line all night and we couldn't get anything moving," said Sanborn head coach Mike Drouin.

Despite the best efforts of halfback Emily Angelucci and defender Kara Morgenstern, Somersworth's second-half rush was enough to get past Sanborn, 2-1.

Having not played in goal since middle school, senior Kim Surette stepped in for an injured Ali Laliberte and helped author a 2-0 shutout by Sanborn's field hockey team over Franklin. Jess King's penalty stroke a minute into second half play was all the Indians (4-8) needed.

Ali Laliberte stood tall despite being pummeled with 28 shots as Sanborn fell to a strong Winnisquam squad, 8-0. Senior Natasha Lloyd performed well on the backline for the Indians (2-8).

Nicole Foster's interception of a clearing pass and accurate blast from 20 feet out garnered Sanborn a 1-0 victory over Mascenic. The Indians (2-7) got a strong game from the back line out as Jess King excelled defensively, Amanda Butler effectively joined offense and defense together at midfield, and forwards Jackie Dow and Rebecca Twiss worked the ball well on the forward line.

Sophomore Jessica Plante did a fantastic job forcing turnovers in the defensive end, kick-starting the offense in Sanborn's 2-1 victory over Milford. After Plante denied Milford, senior Shannon Snively funneled the ball effectively to the front line and also scored a goal herself.
