In what has become a tremendous rivalry, Salem's field hockey team nipped Pinkerton 2-1, handing the Astros their first loss of the season. Erika Smith and Abbey Raymond scored for the Blue Devils (8-1) while All-American Jordyn Hamilton scored for Pinkerton.
"It was a tremendous, well-played game that could have gone either way," said Pinkerton coach Jen Resmini.
