Nora Einhorn, Emily Helming, Juliana Martinez and Niles Batchelder have a few things in common. They're all seniors in high school, attend Hamilton-Wenham Regional, and are all pretty strong soccer players.

The Division 3 North girls soccer tournament is beginning to play out like a Cape Ann League tournament.

No. 12 Georgetown became the most recent CAL team to assert its pedigree yesterday, advancing to the semifinal round with a 5-1 victory over CAL-foe and No. 13 seed Hamilton-Wenham.

Behind four different goal scores, Hamilton-Wenham downed Amesbury 4-1. Paul Durdin, Bianca Vecchiarello, Katie Flores, and Alana Figurido did the honors for the Generals. Jackie Webber scored for Amesbury while Caitlin Santsousso made 13 saves.

Down 1-0 with 10 minutes remaining, Hamilton-Wenham scored to tie Ipswich 1-1. Alana Figurido recorded the goal. Generals (1-1-1) goalie Emily Helming (12 saves) was immense while defender Pheobe Burr, sweeper Cassie Penta and forward Candice Dangora played well.

Hamilton-Wenham (1-1) held on to a one-goal lead to secure a 2-1 win over Lynnfield (0-2). Goalie Emily Helming scooped up 18 saves and Bianca Vecchiarello and Kristen Brao put two past Lynnfield's keeper to earn the victory.
