Trinity tops Timberlane

Zach Fox collected two hits and an RBI, but it wasn't enough as No. 9 Timberlane fell to top-seeded Trinity, 3-1, in the Class L quarterfinals. P.J. Singster was outdueled by Pioneers starter Garrett Cole, who fanned 10 in a complete-game effort. Singster allowed just five hits over six innings, but Trinity's 1-2-3 hitters made him pay with three runs scored.

Jake Finnegan whiffed nine as he tossed seven innings of no-hit, three-walk ball to lead Londonderry past Timberlane, 7-0. Coach Brent Demas believes it's the first no-hitter in the history of the Lancers program. Chris Verryt and Dan Lagasse had a pair of RBIs apiece, and both Kyle Neverman and C.J. Flanders collected four hits for the winners.
