Zach Fox collected two hits and an RBI, but it wasn't enough as No. 9 Timberlane fell to top-seeded Trinity, 3-1, in the Class L quarterfinals. P.J. Singster was outdueled by Pioneers starter Garrett Cole, who fanned 10 in a complete-game effort. Singster allowed just five hits over six innings, but Trinity's 1-2-3 hitters made him pay with three runs scored.

Said coach Jamie Fish, "It was just a great high school game and a good pitcher's duel." The Owls finish 11-11.
