Needing just eight points to reach the 1,000-point milestone, Windham senior Kaleigh Walsh poured in 15 to reach the milestone.The Jaguars fell to undefeated Portsmouth (17-0), 55-43.

PELHAM - The only thing soft on the court Tuesday night was the piece of cotton sticking from Olivia Gagnon's nose after she took an elbow driving to the hoop.

But that only kept the Pelham junior off the court for a minute or so during the third quarter.

Windham defeated Oyster River 56-14 as Kaleigh Walsh had 23 points and Sarah Dempsey 13.  

It was 25-7 at the half as Windham rolled to a 56-33 win over ConVal. Kaleigh Walsh scored 21 points and freshman Sarah Dempsey had a career-high 16.

As the seconds trickled away in regulation, Pelham senior Cheyenne Lee calmly drilled a 3-pointer to help the Pythons beat rival Windham 43-40. Kaleigh Walsh had 20 points for the Jaguars.

Down four heading into the final quarter, the Windham girls basketball team scored 22 points in the final frame to pull out a victory over Merrimack Valley. Kaleigh Walsh led the way with 17 points and Emily Orciani chipped in 14 for the undefeated Jaguars (3-0).

Windham's girls opened their season with an 80-21 romp over Manchester West. Leading the way for the Jaguars were junior Sam Adamson with 17 points and freshman Sarah Dempsey with 12.
