Eleventh-seeded Sanborn had upset on its mind, but the Windham High girls turned the Indians away, 1-0, in the Division 2 first-rounder.
With 13 minutes left in regulation, Danielle Fischer headed in a perfect corner kick from Selena Hansen to net the only goal of the contest.
Sunday, Windham heads to CBNA in the North quarters at 2 p.m.

Haley Psareas has been known more for her assists this year, but she scored her third goal of the year in overtime Saturday to lift Windham (8-3-1) over Oyster River, 2-1 in overtime. Earlier, Hannah Pesci scored her 19th goal of the year for the Jaguars.

Pesci nets hat trick, OT winner

Hannah Pesci scored three goals and added an assist. One of her goals was the game-winner in overtime to lead Windham 4-3 over Milford in girls soccer.

Selena Hansen assisted the game-winner, which was off a corner kick.

Hannah Pesci had a hat trick, giving her 15 goals on the year, and junior transfer Serena Sauerwald had two goals and two assists as Windham's girls soccer team whipped Merrimack Valley 8-3.
