Tarbox clan synonymous with soccer success

Bill Tarbox's recent 58th birthday dinner involved more soccer talk than pizza consumption.

Among all the analysis and strategy, the group found time to take bites. But not many.

"My mom (Gail) and my wife (Ruth) have to put up with a lot," said Fred Tarbox, Bill's son. "All we talk about is soccer. It's constant."

Brasil a bright spot for PMA

Northeast tripped PMA, 2-1. Jessica Brasil tallied for the Panthers. Maggie Donohoe played an inspired game in the loss but had the misfortune of breaking her leg in the final seconds of the game. Jessica Biggart also played well.

Jessica Brasil scored her second goal 20 minutes into the second half and that was the difference as PMA beat Minuteman, 4-3. Stephanie Mitrano also scored twice and Lee Ann Walker anchored the defense.

Jessica Brasil tallied a hat trick to vault PMA past Lynn Tech 4-0. Stephanie Mitrano scored the other goal while Megan Peeler and Leeann Walker each had an assist for the Panthers.

Jessica Brasil scored a pair of goals, but Presentation of Mary fell to Lowell Catholic 3-2. Maggie Donohoe, Margaret McDonough and Megan Peeler all played well for PMA, which had several chances in the second half but could not tie it up late.
