Greater Lawrence its second-straight undefeated season following a 3-0 win over Presentation of Mary. For the season, the Reggies earned a 3-0 shutout in 17 of 18 matches. Paola Gutierrez and Trudy Goetchius led the team all season, said coach Kevin Maloney. Greater Lawrence competes in the Vocational School tourney, starting Tuesday vs. Blackstone Valley.

St. Peter finished with 23 kills, 7 blocks, 18 service points and 5 aces, getting strong offensive help from Krista Petrone (19 assists) to boost the Panthers (5-7) to the win.

McDonough leads PMA to first victory

Meg McDonough scored a goal and added an assist to help PMA beat the Minuteman 3-1 to post its first victory. 

"They passed well and we were more aggressive," PMA coach Kevin Conlin said. "The girls were happy. They worked hard all year. We've had couple bad breaks but we're coming together."

On a night where both teams showed its best and worst sides, Shawsheen pulled its game together when it counted most, pulling away for a 3-2 victory over Presentation of Mary Academy, winning the decisive game, 15-4. On what Panther head coach Len Eddy termed "a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde night," Francely Acosta and Kate St. Peter (16 kills and 7 blocks) did a fine job controlling the net.
