In the quarterfinals of the Volleyball North Divison 3, Whittier fell to Notre Dame in straight sets. Holly Pearson led the Wildcats with 17 digs and Cassey Glode had 13. "You never want to end the season losing," said coach Deb Littlefield. "But, the girls have a lot to be proud of this season."

Nessa Ferretto scored 10 aces in a row in the second set during Whittier's 3-0 win over Chelsea. The win secures the CAC Division 1 Championship for Whittier.

Trailing 2-0 in games and missing injured starter Danielle Martin, Whittier won the last three games to defeat Worcester Tech and end the regular season on a high note with an 18-2 record. Jessica Goulet led the way with 10 kills while Destiny Jordan had 16 service points and 11 digs.

Whittier Tech avenged one of its two losses with a convincing sweep of St. Mary's to improve its record to 16-2. Jessica Goulet led the play at the net with 11 kills while Monica Lewis had a stunning 23 service points, including the first eight in the first and third games, and five aces.

Whittier sophomore Josie Sanchez got her team off to a flying start with 13 straight service points to begin the match with Mystic Valley. "What makes it even more noteworthy is she's not a typical starter for us. She was absolutely on fire," said coach Deb Littlefield.

Jessica Goulet was commanding up front for Whittier in a 3-0 victory over PMA.

"Jessica's performance at the net was a difference-maker," said Wildcat head coach Deb Littlefield. "When she got her hands on the ball, she scored for us."

Jessica Goulet and Monica Lewis played strong up the middle, lifting Whittier Tech over Greater Lowell, 3-1, in a girls volleyball yesterday.

Christina Medley caught fire in the third volleyball set for Whittier. Medley scored 11 straight service points and ended the game with 21 service points with two aces, as Whittier beat Fellowship Christian 3-0.

 Danielle Martin and Christina Medley each tallied nine assists to lead Whittier past Shawsheen in a battle of undefeateds on Wednesday.

Nina Berube tallied seven straight service points to lift Whittier to a 27-25 win in Game 3 and the Wildcats went on to beat Northeast 3-1. Danielle Martin had nine service points and four aces in the match.
