On Friday, freshman Derek Collins buried four 3-pointers on his way to a 12-point night as North Andover improved to 7-1 after a 60-27 win over Amesbury. Sophomore Darien Meyers added 10 points, which included a pair of 3-ponters.

Six-foot-five forward Alex Blane posted his best scoring game so far this season with 19 points to help North Andover roll to a 62-49 victory over Wilmington. The senior, who was averaging 8.2 points per game entering yesterday's contest, converted eight field goals. Meanwhile, Matt Sifferlen scored 15 points.

LAWRENCE — Eleven different North Andover players scored in a 58-35 rout of North Andover in the fifth-place game.

Matt Sifferlen (14 points) led the balanced Scarlet Knights, and had three of the club's eight 3-pointers. Michael Gorman scored 12 points for the Rangers.

LAWRENCE — North Andover sank 10 3-pointers to shoot down Pinkerton, 58-50, in a Greater Lawrence Christmas Tourney consolation game.

Zac Iovanella and Tommy O'Connell each bagged three treys for nine points while Matt Sifferlen (15) and Zach Karalis (12) added two apiece. Sifferlen bounced back in a big way after being shut out in the tourney opener against Andover.

LAWRENCE — North Andover's Tommy O'Connell drove the lane and lofted a high-arching runner over Andover's 6-4 leaper Brian Miller.

The tough shot rimmed out leaving the Scarlet Knights devastated and the Golden Warriors breathing a colossal sigh of relief.

North Andover's lone freshman, Derek Collins, is off to a fine start this year  scoring 10 in each of the Knights' first two games. In last night's win over Rockport, Collins knocked down a pair of 3-pointers.
