Janinski already had three of the first five goals, with the score tied at 5-5 in the second half, he scored the next 3 goals to put the game away. First year coach Dick Coakley said, "You really had to be here to see it" he added "Sometimes it is your day and today was Matt's."

Whittier's boys soccer team romped past Fellowship Christian 9-1 and sophomore Felipe Guimares had a big role with three goals and three assists. Junior Jacob Bradwell also scored three times.
