DRACUT — Lawrence High football coach Rhandy Audate was speaking to his team immediately after the game. He turned to looked toward the scoreboard for visual proof, that his team won decisively, 36-0.

LAWRENCE – Central Catholic closed out the Fall 2 regular season the same way it had finished each of the previous six weeks – with a comfortable victory.

Playing host to crosstown rival Lawrence Thursday evening, the Raiders raced to a 23-point halftime lead en route to a 36-6 win over the Lancers. In the six-game season, the first-team defense did not surrender a point while Central outscored opponents by a combined 216-32.

TEWKSBURY — Unbeaten Tewksbury proved too tough for a young Lawrence squad as the Redmen (5-0) rolled to a 35-0 victory.

Aided by a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown, Tewksbury zoomed to a 28-0 halftime lead and then coasted to victory. Tewksbury QB Zach Hayes threw two TD passes but the Redmen also had success running the ball and had several long drives.

ANDOVER — Count Andover sophomore running back Lincoln Beal among those who love playing during this Fall 2 season.

LAWRENCE — To be effective running the ball, a team either needs dominant line play or a tackle-shedding ball-carrier.

Methuen had both Friday night and the result was a 41-8 Merrimack Valley Conference smackdown of an extremely young Lawrence team playing its first game of the season.
