Whittier beat Greater Lawrence, 7-4, to clinch CAC Large title outright over Greater Lowell. Will Carpenter went 6.2 innings and Matt Michel put out the fire with the bases loaded, getting a game-ending groundout. Joey Santiago drove in three for the 16-2 Cats.

Whittier eliminates Amesbury

Matt Michel came in the game with the bases loaded in a tie game in the sixth and got Whittier out of a jam and then got the win in a 4-3 win over Amesbury. Josh O'Brien had an RBI double in the seventh to account for the winning run for the Wildcats. Amesbury, now eliminated from postseason contention, was led by Logan Burrill (3 for 4) and Thomas Flanagan (2 for 3).

Sophomore Aidan Shea went 2 for 4 with an RBI at the plate, and also caught Matt Michel's six-inning gem as Whittier took down Ipswich 9-1. The Wildcats led just 2-1 heading into the top of the seventh, but scored seven insurance runs in the inning after Ipswich pulled its starter.
