The Georgetown girls lacrosse team is headed to the state tournament in first-year coach Morgan DeShaw's first try. The Royals punched their ticketed on Monday, beating Haverhill 12-9. Abbie Donahue scored four goals with two assists and Lindsey Feeks and Lilly Egenberg each had hat tricks in the win.

The Georgetown and Essex Tech girls lacrosse teams were tied 6-6 at halftime, but then the Royals surged ahead with a huge second half, scoring 13 goals to wind up winning 19-9. Mary Laut had six goals and three assists, Lindsey Feeks scored four goals, and Abbie Donahue (two goals) and Dylan Mahoney (one goal) each had four assists.

Newburyport girls lacrosse stayed hot on Tuesday with another win. Molly Rose Kearney tallied five time with three assists while Hannah Schilling added four tallies and five helpers.

Four Georgetown girls lacrosse players recorded hat tricks in Friday's 14-5 win over North Reading, with Lindsey Feeks and Abbie Donahue each potting four goals and Mary Laut and Erin Irons three. Irons also had three assists as the Royals improved to 5-3 on the year.

Georgetown faced a tough test in Middlesex League opponent Burlington, but managed to grind out a tough 5-4 home win. Mary Laut led the way with three goals and Erin Irons and Lilly Egenberg scored Georgetown's other two goals in the win.

Georgetown freshman Abbie Donahue scored a career-high five goals to help lead the girls lacrosse team past Essex Tech 14-5 on Saturday. Dylan Mahoney had three goals and Lindsey Feeks had two goals and four assists.
