Sibanda, Salem crush Londonderry

SALEM — Josh Sibanda continued his monstrous season, rushing for 221 yards and three touchdowns as Salem beat Londonderry 35-14 to remain unbeaten.

Salem led 28-0 at halftime and never looked back, getting on the board early in the first quarter after Sibanda broke free for a 45-yard rushing TD.

Holland, South whip Londonderry

NASHUA — Sean Holland threw four touchdown passes in a 13:31 span and Nashua South pounded Londonderry Friday night, 42-13.

South has now won six straight after an 0-2 start. Londonderry is also 6-2.

Lancers pull away

 

LONDONDERRY — Ahead by just a point at halftime, 7-6, Londonderry pulled away in the second half Friday night, defeating Alvirne 36-6.

The one-two punch of Jeff Wiedenfield and Michael McAlister eventually proved too much for Alvirne to handle. Wiedenfield rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns while McAlister finished with 124 yards and two TDs. Londonderry finished with 422 yards on the ground.

Wiedenfeld, Londonderry blank Merrimack

LONDONDERRY — Jeff Wiedenfeld scored twice and Tyler Kayo caught a touchdown pass from Mike McAlister as Londonderry blanked Merrimack 21-0.

Shane McEachern had an interception. Jack Connors and Phil Giandello each had sacks in the Lancers' second straight shutout.

Londonderry blows past Timberlane

PLAISTOW — Londonderry football rushed for a combined 211 yards to race past Timberlane 27-7 on Friday night, with the defense holding the Owls scoreless until the fourth quarter.

Jeff Wiedenfeld led the way with 99 yards rushing and a touchdown on 25 carries. He got the scoring started with a 4-yard run in the first quarter, giving the Lancers a 7-0 lead that held going into halftime.
