Lots of Offense

Brenna Donoghue knocked in four runs in a 14-run effort by Pentucket, but unfortunately in a losing effort. Mystic Valley scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to reclaim the lead, and Pentucket could not convert a bases-loaded opportunity in the top of the seventh.

Gaeta nets 7 RBIs

 

Cassidy Gaeta had a triple and home run for fivr RBIs in the 14-run second inning and added two more RBIs as North Reading (8-1) crushed Georgetown 18-2 in five innings.

Royals get first win

Georgetown softball picked up its first win of the season in dramatic fashion, scoring five runs in the eighth inning and then holding off a late Salem (MA) charge to win 11-10 in extras. Kylie Hayward went 2 for 6 with three RBIs.
