HOOKSETT, N.H. — Windham, the two-time defending Division 3 champion, knew it wouldn’t cruise to this year’s title when it moved up to Division 2.

The Jaguars were returning several top players, including five Division 3 first-team selections, but they knew that by playing in a stronger division they’d face stronger competition.

Ali Connors scored with about three minutes left to give Windham an 11-9 lead and the Jaguars held on to beat Winnacunnet 11-10 in the Division 2 state semifinals.

Behind five goals for Ali Connors, top-seeded Windham rolled over No. 8 Goffstown in the Divison 2 quarterfinals. Melissa Cino and Courtney Sweeny each added three goals and Samantha Chrichton played a big game for the Jaguars, who advance to face No. 4
Winnacunneton on Saturday at Southern New Hampshrie University.

Melissa Cino tied her season high in assists with nine, giving her 89 for the season, as Windham crushed Keene 16-4. Cino set the national record in assists last year with 120.

Melissa Cino continues her ridiculously unselfish play this season, dishing out a season-high nine assists to help Windham beat Hanover 16-13. Cino also scored three goals in the win. 

Junior Ali Connors had a career-high eight goals, many of them on assists from Melissa Cino, who had six assists to go along with three goals as Windham's girls lacrosse team clipped Portsmouth 22-16. Courtny Sweeny was right behind Connors with seven goals.
