Timberlane had three individual champions and captured its 11th straight Meet of Champions yesterday.

Windham's wrestling team won the close matches and held off Plymouth 34-27 for the Division 3 regular season title. Nolan Hansen held off a late escape attempt to claim a 2-1 decision at 170 for the Jaguars (17-3)  and Kody Folsom was key with a pin at 220.

Windham displayed its depth, winning twice in a tri-meet at Exeter to improve to 16-3 and finishing fourth at the Twin River Classic. At the tournament, Kody Folsom (220) and David Crichton (285) took titles. 

Haverhill's Ryan Grant paced Northern Essex to an 88-82 victory over Bunker Hill with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Colin Collins added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights (11-10) and Javonte Forbes chipped in with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks.   

Windham finished ninth at the Concord Capital City Tournament, led by David Crichton's runnerup place at heavyweight, and also won two of three meets in a home quad meet.

Windham had no problem crushing John Stark, 61-9. Jon Ferri continued to wrestle well, taking a 6-0 decision at 182.

Windham's wrestling team showed its growth as a program by winning the Pelham Invitational for the second straight year.

Despite heavy graduation losses, the Jaguars scored 199 points, placing in 10 weight classes, to outpace runner-up Hollis-Brookline by 28 points.

Windham lost a tough one to coach Tom Darrin's former team, Reading, 35-33, but sophomore Justin Missert did his best to prevent it. Trailing 6-0 in his match at 132, he pinned his man and was 3-0 on the day as Windham beat White Mountains and Nashua South to improve to 7-2. Tyler Siverhus won twice at 145 and once at 152 to remain unbeaten.
