Just a week after losing to Dracut by 10 points, Whittier's girls basketball team crushed the Middies 72-46 to complete a terrific regular season at 19-3. The Wildcats had an astounding 31 blocks according to Bradley, led by a monster game by Samnel Vonleh who had 21 blocks to go along with 14 points and 18 rebounds. Kayla Riley led the scoring with a season-high 23 points while Andrea Terranova had 19 points.

Whittier's girls basketball team clinched its second straight Commonwealth Conference Large title with a 66-57 victory over Shawsheen. Andrea Terranova had a season high 24 points and Michaela Martin had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats (16-3), who fell to Dracut Tuesday night.
Read More »After a tight six-point victory against Greater Lowell in mid-January, Whittier "had the rematch date circled on our calender," according to head coach Kevin Bradley. Coming out with a vengeance last night, the Wildcats rolled out a near-perfect effort, forcing 32 Gryphon turnovers to win big, 70-40, and clinch a share of the CAC title. Sophomores did all the damage for Whittier as Michaela Martin led the way with 24 points as well as great defense while the trio of Dominique Ortiz, Samnell Vonleh and Josie Sanchez combined for 32 rebounds.
