Whittier's girls basketball team clinched its second straight Commonwealth Conference Large title with a 66-57 victory over Shawsheen. Andrea Terranova had a season high 24 points and Michaela Martin had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats (16-3), who fell to Dracut Tuesday night.
"What a difference 24 hours makes," said Whittier coach Kevin Bradley. "We played our worst game of the year against Dracut and probably our best tonight."
The loss was only the second of the year for Shawsheen (15-2).
