Pelham Pythons Boys Lacrosse '12

Pelham vs. Hollis-Brookline, Division 3 finals, at Stellos Stadium, Nashua

Third-seeded Hollis-Brookline rallied from a three-goal deficit entering the final quarter to force overtime before upending fourth-seeded Pelham 9-8 for the Division 3 state title.

Pelham, playing in its first championship match, led  by four midway through the third quarter behind strong play by Alec Paradis, who had three goals. Harley Kierney and Nick Morin scored three and two goals, respectively as the Pythons ended the season 14-3.

On to the finals

The fourth time was the charm for Pelham.

After losing three times in the Division 3 semifinals, the Pythons doubled up previously unbeaten Derryfield, 6-3, to earn a berth in tomorrow's final against a Hollis-Brookline team they beat earlier this season.

Gilford at Pelham, Division 3 quarterfinals

Keston Beauregard pumped in five goals and Alec Paradis added four goals and three assists as Pelham doubled up on Gilford, 14-7, in the Division 3 quarterfinals. Paradis now has 105 points (65 goals) on the season. He's the first Python ever to crack 100 points in the 8-year history of the program said coach Matt Regan.

Paradis adds to the record book

With eight goals and three assists, senior Alec Paradis established single-game school records at Pelham for goals scored and points (11) as the Pythons cruised past Con-Val 15-3.  Paradis' eight-goals adds to his single-season school record, which is now at 52. To add to his impressive day, Paradis now has 100 career goals which ranks him second behind current teammate Nick Morin, who had three goals in yesterday's win.

Record setting day for Paradis

Senior Alec Paradis scored six times to boost his season goal-total to 44 and set a new Pelham school record.  The previous record (42) was set last year year by Nick Morin, who had four goals in yesterday's win. Keston Beauregard scored five timesfor Pelham (9-2).

Not again

Pelham's lacrosse team certainly learned its lesson. After seeing a substantial lead against unbeaten Derryfield disappear on Monday, the Pythons built on their advantage yesterday en route to a 10-5 win over Hollis-Brookline. Kevin DeAngelo was "fantastic" on faceoffs according to coach Matt Regan, winning 13 of 17 to give extra possessions that Keston Beauregard (four goals) and Nick Morin (three goals) took advantage of.

Paradis sharp in lax return
