Pinkerton got a goal and an assist from both Sean Smith and Tyler Garnick and closed out the boys soccer regular season in fine form with a 4-1 win over Dover.

With the able help of defenders Antonio Villavicencio, Alex Patrikis, Shane Whitehouse and Brian Kling, senior keeper Peter Siragusa earned his eighth shutout of the season as Pinkerton edged Winnacunnet, 1-0.

PLAISTOW – The Pinkerton boys soccer team remained undefeated through the season’s first week, but the defending state champion Astros didn’t have it easy yesterday against an opponent they’ve dominated in recent years.

Goalie Jimmy Tomaswick kept Alvirne competitive early on but Pinkerton's offense broke through, leading to a 3-0 soccer victory. Strong efforts from Shane Whitehouse, Tyler Garnick and sophomore Tim Wood helped the Astros prevail.

Shane Whitehouse and Sean Smith each scored in the final 10 minutes to pull Pinkerton even with Keene, in a 3-3 tie. Smith scored the game's first goal. Alex Horan and Peter Siragusa split the duties in net.
