Mike Weisman had three hits and Rick O'Connor homered to highlight North Andover's 17-hit attack during a 16-0 victory over Hamilton-Wenham.

The Knights, 12-1 and winners of 12-straight, scored six times in the second and seven more in the third. Cam Couillard, Alec Jillson, Brandon Walsh and Dom Nicolosi each had two hits. Walsh worked five innings on the mound, striking out 10 and allowing just one hit. Mike Borzi and Couillard finished the game with an inning each in relief.

John Modlish homered over the fence in right field, then executed a perfect squeeze bunt to score another run as Pentucket bested Hamilton-Wenham 8-5.

Trailing by a run with two outs in the seventh, freshman Keith Linnane sent the game into extra innings with an RBI single, and in the ninth inning Nick Rosano singled and scored on a throwing error to give North Reading a 6-5 win over Hamilton-Wenham. Ryley Warnock worked all nine innings to earn the victory.

Sophomore Ryley Warnock allowed just three hits, struck out 10 and did not surrenter an earned run for his first varsity victory as North Reading opened its season with a 6-1 win over Hamilton-Wenham.
