Windham avenged an earlier softball loss to nearby rival Pelham with a come-from-behind 9-8 victory in eight innings, largely due to the clutch hitting of Heather Tornquist. She had a two-run single in the third and a game-tying two-run double in the seventh. Lauren Rogers knocked in Ashley Adamson with a sacrifice fly in the eighth for the winning run. Amanda Blake had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice for Pelham.

Pelham's softball team, led by three freshmen, won its first game of the season, cruising past Windham 14-2. Jordan Parece got the win, striking out six while allowing four hits, leadoff batter Hannah Paitchel was 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two RBIs and Elissa Moaguro had an RBI triple and scored three runs.
