Total teamwork

Londonderry showed the ultimate in team play in an 18-5 girls lacrosse victory over Salem. With all 24 roster members seeing action, the Lancers registered an impressive 12 assists from nine different players. Freshman Alexa Bedell stood out for Londonderry with seven points and disruptive defense, causing five turnovers. Salem goalie Kara Thomas drew praise from Lancer coach Bob Slater for doing "a tremendous job facing some tough shots. She stepped up."

Junior class

Juniors Jersey Burns (4 goals and 2 assists) and Tayllar Righini (5 goals) were their usual offensive powerhouses in Salem's 14-12 victory over Nashua North. Freshman Kara Thomas (15 saves) helped hold off a late North run to preserve the win.

Jersey Burns and Alexa Smith delivered offense to spare as the juniors had five goals each in Salem's 20-14 win over Manchester Central. Tayllar Righini joined the pair as the "go-to players in the midfield," according to head coach Faith Wahlen while Briana Tan drew kudos for strong defensive work in the victory.

Shutting the door

"This was an awesome start," according to head coach Faith Wahlen as Salem opened its season with a 12-4 victory over Nashua North. The Blue Devils' defensive third of senior Aja Metcalf, freshman Danielle Smith and junior Briana Tan locked down North in a shutout second-half performance. "We played very well as a complete unit," said Wahlen.
