Andover racked up 28 corners and was never challenged in whitewashing Peabody, 3-0. Sarah Oteri, Brittany Isenhart and Nicole Gagnon tallied goals for the 16-0-3 Golden Warriors, who will play Needham Sunday in the Division 1 North quarterfinals.

Terenzoni's tally helps Peabody advance

In search of a goal and a berth in the MIAA Division 1 North first round, the Peabody field hockey team turned to its captains and the leaders delivered. Co-captain Sam Terenzoni fed fellow co-captain Tawny Palmieri as the 15th seeded Tanners toppled Concord-Carlisle 1-0 in preliminary round action.

Peabody, Danvers fit to be tied once more

For the second time this season, the Peabody and Danvers girls field hockey teams battled to a tie score. This time, the final was 1-1.

Tawny Palmieri scored her sixth goal of the season in the opening half for Peabody (6-2-3), but Stephanie Costa tied it up for Danvers in the second half.

Peabody beat Salem 3-1, handing the Witches their first loss of the season. Tawny Palmieri (2) and Jamie Nocella scored for the Tanners. Andrea Saccardo had two assists on the game. Jessica Druhan, Sam Terenzoni, Courtney Dasilva, and Sam Sarkisian played well on defense.

Taylor Callahan and Tori Snow led a balanced Marblehead attack with a goal a piece as the Magicians scored in each half to defeat Peabody 2-0. Tanner Rebecca Mullen was outstanding in the goal, knocking aside 18 shots in the loss.

Peabody emerges with 3 -2 win over Beverly

Peabody rode the goaltending of Rebecca Mullen to a 3-2 win over Beverly, giving the Tanners (1-0) their first win of the season. Mullen's 17 saves and outstanding defense from Samantha Sarkisian and Sam Terenzoni helped the Tanners hang on after jumping out to a 3-1 first-half lead. Kerrie O'Shea, Andrea Saccarda and Lindsey Cantin scored the goals for Peabody.
