Cannata led Merrimack to a sweep over UMass, making 42 saves for his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win on Saturday. He stopped 63 of 64 shots on the weekend, as the Warriors swept the Minutemen for the first time since 1998. Since returning to the lineup on February 6, Cannata is 4-0-1 with a 1.18 goals-against-average and a .956 save percentage. Merrimack (13-15-1, 10-11-1 HEA) continues its push for the Hockey East Playoffs against Boston College at 7 p.m. today at Conte Forum. The Warriors, unbeaten in five straight, have never posted a six-game unbeaten streak in Hockey East games.
