Jaguars fall at buzzer to Kearsarge

A 32-minute war ended with Windham having the last possession and seeing an 18-foot jumper rim out, allowing Kearsarge to escape with a 42-40 victory and a berth in the Division 2 finals.

After falling behind by seven — the largest lead for either team — with five minutes remaining, Windham clawed its way back into the battle once again when Clairee Putnam drained a 3-pointer and a layup while Bernadette Connors also hit a 3-ball with 23 seconds remaining.

Morris sets record, but Sanborn falls

KINGSTON — Ryan Morris set a trio of school passing records, including 222 yards through the air as Sanborn hung tough with Kearsarge before falling 51-36 yesterday.

Windham wins first-ever game

The future of Windham's nascent baseball program is in its talented freshmen class, and a couple of those first-year players made an impact in its first-ever varsity victory.

Starter Adam Dolan threw five innings of one-hit, shutout ball with 10 strikeouts until he hit his pitch count limit. Classmate Jeff Peterson worked the final two frames without yielding a hit as the Jaguars defeated Kearsarge, 3-1.

 WINDHAM — Kearsarge ran all over the field at Widham High School in its 49-7 victory over Windham.

Pelham bounces Kearsarge

Pelham goalie John Dostie held down the fort with 16 saves in a 10-4 win against Kearsage's daunting offense. "Kearsarge had the best offense in the league, and our defense was just unbelievable," said coach Matt Regan.  Nick Morin led all goal scorers with four goals and an assist.  Alec Paradis scored a pair and added two helpers in the win.

DeAngelo lifts Pelham

NORTH SUTTON, N.H.  Joe DeAngelo did it all last night to lift Pelham to a hard-fought 24-23 victory at Kearsarge.

DeAngelo began the scoring in the first quarter with a 6-yard touchdown run and threw to Sean Sweeney for two points to make it 8-0. He made it 16-8 before halftime with an 8-yard TD pass to Kevin Cheam and a conversion pass to Cam Robidoux.

Pelham off to 8-1 start

Pelham's golf squad improved to 8-1, riding a score of 174 to a sweep over Kearsarge (177), Kingswood (189)and Milford (190). Leading the way were co-medalists Corey Couillard and Jesse Vaiknoras, while freshman Nick Neary and sophomore Alec Surprenant contributed well for the Indians.
