Last year's record: 8-5-4

Coach: Sam Yawson (11th year)

Returning starters: Mandy James, Sr. sweeper; Juliet Munroe, Sr. forward; Jessica Sasso, Sr. forward; Katherine Slattery, Sr. midfield; Caroline Humphrey, Sr. defender.

Strengths: Junior Lizzy Whitehill and sophomores Stephanie Castoldi and Elizabeth Miller will add to the midfield mix.

Concerns: Leadership in the back. Without a veteran keeper, the defenders may be the key to the season. Yawson must play possession soccer because of the youth element. Samantha Weinstein, the goalie last year, injured a knee in lacrosse and will miss her senior season. Yawson said backup goalie Silvie Cohen will step up.

Coach's outlook: "We've got to keep the shots down. I'm not worried about the offense, though; Juliet Munroe had 17 goals last year and is very aggressive. I'm hoping we can play a compact game."
