Returning starters: Azra Dzino, Sr. forward; Janell Mazzaferro, Sr. forward; Kellie McHugh, Sr. midfield; Allison Colson, sr, defense; Skylar Sabbag, Jr. defense; Marissa Gambale, Jr. midfield; Sarah Burnham, Jr. defender; Monique Bleau, Soph. defender; Casey Connolly, Soph. forward; Jennifer Cleary, Soph. forward.
Strengths: Numbers. The Big Blue have 10 returning starters. Defense and midfield may be the team's top areas. Sabbag is an 80-minute performer and very versatile. The Big Blue struggled with scoring last year and hope Dzino, Mazzaferro and McHugh can generate offense. Cleary (5 goals, 3 assists) and Connolly (5-4-9) had great freshman years.
Concerns: The keeper position. Swampscott used three seniors last season; junior Tara Nimkar, a solid athlete, looks like the answer this fall.
Coach's outlook: "Overall, we're in good shape. We have 18 lettermen back, with depth at every position."
