A year after Methuen's boys cross country team trounced Lowell to clinch top honors in the Merrimack Valley Conference race, the Red Raiders got their revenge and then some, whipping Methuen 15-47. Lowell captured six of the top seven places with only Lawrence's Luis Cruz breaking up the pack, finishing second in an excellent time of 15:07. Unbeaten Lowell also beat Lawrence 19-44.
