BILLERICA — Georgetown couldn't keep pace with a strong Shawsheen Tech club and dropped a 35-7 decision yesterday.
But not all was lost for the Royals, who got a standout game from backup quarterback Luke Prescott.
Prescott entered the game in the first quarter when starting QB Tyler Wade went out with an ankle injury and was superb, rushing for 81 yards on six carries and completed 3 of 4 passes for 51 yards. He also scored the Royals' only TD on a 54-yard run in the second quarter.
Moreover, Prescott had a big day on defense with two quarterback sacks, an interception, another tackle for a loss and several assists. "He had himself quite a day," said Georgetown coach Matt Bouchard.
