Kayden Ouellette doubled home the winning run in the top of the eighth, and the Wildcats beat Shawsheen 7-6. Emily Graham struck out nine and added two hits and three RBIs and Maddie Noury added three hits and three runs.

Maddie Noury was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, four RBIs and three runs scored as Whittier rolled past Shawsheen 9-0 on Tuesday. Emily Graham threw a one-hitter with seven strikeouts and Kaitlyn Hurley added two RBIs for the winners.

Santa Joseph won the triple jump (29-4.5) and 400 (1:14.82) and Jaheidy Ortiz took the 100 hurdles (19.29) and 400 hurdles (1:23.83) as Greater Lawrence earned its first win over Shawsheen in 15 years, 85-50.

Haverhill High's hockey team, once 2-7, has climbed all the way back to the .500 mark at 9-9 thanks to Thursday night's 4-3 win over Shawsheen Tech. Darren Ackerman scored a pair of goal, and Cal Pruett came up with 44 saves to secure the victory.

Stasi Krafton scored 24 points as Whittier turned a one-point halftime lead into a 61-46 victory over Shawsheen. Maddy Dawkins added 14 points and Naithalia Cintron, returning from injury, had nine points and 14 rebounds.

Haverhill boys hockey earned a 2-1 win over Shawsheen to improve to 4-7 on the season. Nick Diburro and Justin Torosian had the goals and Dylan Soucy made 26 saves in net for the victory.

Methuen boys hockey avenged its only loss of the season on Sunday, handing Shawsheen a decisive 5-1 defeat thanks in large part to junior Owen Kneeland's two-goal effort. Owen Sullivan scored the first goal of his career and goalie Owen O'Brien made 22 saves while also recording an assist while in net.

Greater Lawrence Tech rolled to the 8-team Commonwealth Conference Open title. The Reggies' winning score was 323 with Shawsheen runner-up at 336. Reggie leaders were Mike Wiley, 69; James McConnell, 79; and Shea Adams, 81.

BILLERICA — Shawsheen Tech (2-1) scored all 13 points in the third quarter and blanked Greater Lawrence, 13-0. A highlight for the Reggies (0-4) was the play of Jarvis Calderon, who carried 16 times for 116 yards. Andrew Santos led a strong defensive effort with 13 tackles while Dominic Colon (8 tackles, sack) and Victor Melenciano (7 tackles, sack) also played well. The Reggies host Lowell Catholic (3-1) Friday at 6 p.m.
