Team | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | Final |

Alvirne | 13 | 14 | 8 | 13 | 48 |
Timberlane | 9 | 16 | 19 | 8 | 52 |
Tenacious Timberlane defense forced many Alvirne turnovers and poor shot choices, enabling the Owls to survive a 3 1/2 minute fourth-quarter scoreless string and take third place, 52-48.
Katie Matatall, named to the All-Tournament team, was on fire from the outside as she drained four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 19-point performance. Matatall was clutch as a late lay-in and free throw helped keep Alvirne at arm's length.
Page Travaglini hit four 3's for 12 points while three late free throws from Taylor Cefalo (7 points) also helped.
All-Tourney team member Deanna Purcell led Alvirne with 20 points.
"This tournament was a great benefit," Owl head coach Bruce Johnson said. "We've made huge strides from opening night and we're going to keep making strides hoping to be a good team by mid-February."
