.Gloucester (3-0): Three games have equalled 116 points, including an impressive 27-point blowout at Beverly. The catches have been huge thus far for these Fishermen. Last week: 3

.Pinkerton Academy (4-0): The Astros quieted the few critics they have by holding off highly-regarded Salem (N.H.) last weekend. Last week: 2

.St. John's Prep (2-1): After a tough four-touchdown loss at home to Everett, Eagles must rebound quickly vs. Brockton this Friday to avoid falling further. Last week: 1

.Masconomet (3-0): Defensive play against Bishop Fenwick was one of the young season's most impressive performances. Last week: 7

.Londonderry (3-1): Alex Theodhosi may have to run wild again for the Lancers to topple arch rival Pinkerton this weekend. Last week: unranked

.Andover (2-1): Friday's game with powerful Billerica may be the game of the year in the Merrimack Valley League. Last week: 9

.Swampscott (3-0): Without their usual flash and dash, the Big Blue are getting things done with defense. Last week: 12

.Salem, Mass. (2-1): Witches must show that last week's loss at Marblehead was a fluke, not a sign of things to come. Last week: 8

.Pelham, N.H. (4-0): A win over defending state champ Bishop Brady on Saturday night would be biggest in program history. Last week: unranked

.Bishop Fenwick (2-1): The Crusaders learned a good lesson in their 21-point loss to Masconomet last week; they need to diversify their offense. Last week: 4

.Hamilton-Wenham (2-0): After a week off, the Generals have a huge home game this Saturday against Masco. A win would shoot them up this chart. Last week: 11

.Greater Lawrence (3-0): Gritty win over Whittier snapped Reggies' eight-game losing streak to the Wildcats. Last week: unranked
