Undefeated Greater Lawrence Tech roughed up Mystic Valley High School 33-0 in a messy game punctuated by Reggies' penalties on both sides of the ball.

Greater Lawrence head coach Tony Sarkis was disappointed in his team's lack of discipline. "There were a lot of penalties. We've got to straighten those out."

His team was flagged 14 times for 140 yards, not including yards lost on big plays that were called back. Quarterback Jonathan Delossantos saw first-hand the effect of those penalties. His 82-yard touchdown run was discounted after one of his teammates made a block in the back.

Despite the penalties, the Reggies' drives were successful. Greater Lawrence punted only once in the game after sophomore Brendan O'Neil narrowly missed what looked to be a certain touchdown pass on third and long.

Senior Nate Adames (19-225) did the brunt of the offensive damage, scoring four of the Reggies' five touchdowns. "We did a lot of running. We're trying to get our offense back in order here," Sarkis said of his game plan.

Adames showed great speed and agility. Three of his touchdowns came on runs greater than 70 yards long, and his fourth was successful only because he executed a picture-perfect spin move to evade three Eagles' tacklers.

Delossantos broke for a pair of long runs up the middle, dodging Eagles left and right. One was his fruitless sprint to the end zone that was called back, and the other was a 79-yard touchdown keeper through a helpless Mystic Valley defense.

Under the solid leadership of Adames and Delossantos, the Reggies will play a morning game next Saturday at Lynn Tech.
